One day I was innocently sitting around playing on my computer, when Fenny said the words to me that will always live in infamy: "Hey, this fish only has one eye."

For about 45 minutes straight, I could do nothing but obsess over this poor fish that lost its eye, probably in a feeding frenzy because these guys get a little overzealous when feeding time comes. I sat in front of the tank saying things like: "Ewww" for a long time.

Now, I've got pictures! And a video, but I haven't figured out how to do MP2 encoding yet, so that'll come some other day.

Here is the evil fish with another fish, so you can get the idea of what his other eye looks like. Sorry I don't have any pictures of him with his eye showing. Amazingly enough, all such pictures came out blurry or over/underexposed horribly or something. I think there's a higher power at work here.

This is the evil fish's friend. Or at least, two different ones of them. The other 'pretty' fish in the tank are all these white frilly beasts. There are about 5 of them.

Then, there are some 'river fish' as Fenny calls them. They're these paranoid, dark-coloured things that, when feeding time comes, will stay at the bottom of the tank, and swim quickly to the top, grab the piece of food, and do a 180 degree quick turn (like Duke Nukem) and swim back to the bottom. All this, very, very fast.

This often causes a loud splash noise at the top.

Those fish are funny, except when they eat your eye out of your head.
