New Zealand Pictures/28. a Very Long Unabridged Photojournalistic N Z Holiday/South Island/25. Nelson to Wellington and Wellington Pics

Here were some last pictures of the Tramper's Rest before we left. This guy was... German? I think. He was quite the philanderer. Everyone assures me he wouldn't've philandered at Fenny (and he didn't). He was pretty cool overall.

A picture of my hand.

On the bus from Nelson to Picton, we managed to sit just a few seats away from the most obnoxious little preteens I've ever had the displeasure of listening to for a long time. Standard preteens. Thought they knew everything. Knew nothing. But now I'm better. And that's what you can tell in this picture. We arrived in Picton and took a picture of the 9th oldest boat in the world.

There were ducks in Picton. There was sleeping in the shade. There were all these decadent things.

I believe earlier, way back in the beginning of my South Island trip I showed you the bustling metropolis of Picton. Here, again, are the illistrations of the hectic Picton lifestyle.

Fenny and I ate ice cream. We were bored because we had a few hours before our ferry to Wellington were to come. So we had ice cream and pies and we walked in circles. But most of all, we took pictures of our cool likenesses for you to admire.

Then we hopped on the ferry, and travelled through the sounds and the Cook Strait and finally... INTO Wellington!!!

These pictures were tough to take. I was being buffeted by very strong winds that threatened to (literally) remove my jacket over my head, take my hat, and occasionally loosen my glasses from my face. I snapped only a couple of pictures, and headed back inside.

Once in Wellington, Aron (of Aron 'n' Nush) came to pick us up, and took us to their house, where Philistine ("Phili") the little black puppy looked right at my camera. But that wasn't crazy enough...

So Aron got around in crazy fashion to loosen things up!

More pictures of Aron, Nush, and Phili, the incredible little black puppy with sharp teeth. And an attitude.

More pictures of Courteney Place, at the foot of Mount Victoria. I know I've taken pictures here before, but it's the last time I'll be in Wellington for a very long time, so I wanted to remember it. Also, I'd never taken pictures of this scary naked lady trying to get out of the Opera bar. Looks like the bar isn't quite what she was hoping for.

Fenny and I ate at the One Red Dog pizza restaurant, where all the pizza actually tastes wonderful.
