New Zealand Pictures/28. a Very Long Unabridged Photojournalistic N Z Holiday/South Island/11. Onuku Farm Hostel Morning 3

This morning was a great morning for taking pictures of Fenny when the sun was all shining in.

Again with the view from our cabin. This one was much clearer than the previous days, so we took a lot of pictures.

This morning was a Fenny fetish morning!

And outside, a beautiful view.

And a beautiful woman!

We saw sheep...

...we took pictures of sheep.

A big, nasty-looking spider outside our room. Tough to take pictures of something this small that's whipping about in the breeze, but that's the life of a tourist.

Give me the camera. I'm going to take your picture.

A portrait of me by Fenny.

Give me the camera again, and I'll take more pictures of you. Hey! You stop trying to scare those sheep.

But I'm a tourist. My job is to scare sheep, take pictures, be lazy, spend lots of money on stupid things, and in general make an ass of myself.

So we take pictures of sheep. New Zealand has a lot of sheep. Most of the time you won't see them, but if you visit a farm or try to drive around the South Island, you'll see them. I think I didn't see a single sheep for months on end when I was living and working in Wellington, but as soon as I go on holiday, I see billions of the things.

Fenny and Toshie discuss their holidays with each other.

Various views from the cabin. Duh.

Fenny and Toshie do their respective things whilst talking.

You might get the impression, from these photos, that I really adore my wife Fenny. You would probably have the right impression. She's funny and smart. And she's very annoying. When she knows I'm trying to take her picture, she will move, fidget, close her eyes, and do everything she can to make sure I can't get her picture. She generally does a pretty good job of it. I had to delete a whole run of about 15 pictures from this run because they were so blurry and crappy.

And now there were some cool clouds forming over the hills. I decided to take a LOT of photos of this so that you could enjoy them. Sometimes I would also catch a boat going by on the harbour.

This is the start of the track that goes from our cabin to the main shared part of the farm hostel.

These are various pictures along the path from our cabin to the main bit of the farm hostel.

The entrance to the main bit.

Here are a lot of pictures around the main shared bit of the farm hostel. This is where the main dining room, main sitting room, main kitchen, and main toilets are. There's a dreamcatcher on the ceiling. There's also a coal-burning stove for heating the rooms and the water there. Burning coal stinks like shite. Nasty shite.
