Oh, my. These Kiwi statues are well-endowed. Oh, my! These Kiwi statues are well-endowed! Fenny attempts to capture Essence of Yours Truly. She did a pretty good job, I'd wager. Rotorua. A town of rocks with water. Fenny watches the local Rotorua wildlife. A cool Maori-like thingy thing in a public square in Rotorua. I give you a taste of downtown Rotorua! This is why I love Fenny so much. She's just this kind of person. Here's a flavour of the boring nature of Rotorua. As I've said before, the boredome is exactly what I was looking for. On the other hand, it's driving Fenny crazy. Black Swans foul on the grass and footpath. It does give you a feel for Rotorua. This big Maori boat was jailed for who knows what crime. I stuck the camera through the bars and snapped a couple shots of this sorry object before moving on. These two trees were very colourful. Colour is good. A lake in Rotorua. Fenny is so cute. Fenny says this pictures is scary. I guess she does look a bit evil, but as the one who faces her wrath when the dishes don't get done or I forget to take the rubbish out to the curb... it doesn't strike me as a particularly scary expression. The bush in Rotorua. Fenny and I begin to catch the true spirit of Rotorua! It's not boring! It lifts your spirits and your feet! It makes you dance and go crazy. It makes you happy and contented. It's like a party in Rotorua! NO! Aliens have not landed. Some cool stuff in Rotorua. These indoor shots... they have a short story associated. A man came in and was videoing this area. One of the employees yelled to him that no cameras were allowed. They didn't bother me because I was using the LCD on my Nikon CP990, so it didn't look like I was taking pictures. I guess I've denied them their money by showing these pictures here, so they should write me and ask for a couple of bucks or something. I've always found I can enhance the beauty and grace of a sculpture by sitting down in front of it in my gawdy tourist gear and getting a picture of it with my visage in there. I know you'll feel that way, too. Someday. Fenny is a ninja in disguise. I know I will prove it someday. Or maybe, just perhaps... A supermodel. More ninja balancing tricks and supermodel poses. Nifty Rotorua scenery. A lawn bowling park. Similar to what was at Lake Merritt in Oakland, CA -- but completely different. Righteo. Rotorua archway architecture. This is a dragon unfortunate enough to be born with just little nubs instead of full wings. Its scales are also just grotesque hints of scales. Little red nobules on the end of tendrils on his back. The Funky Green Voyager, kind as they are, took this dragon in and made him a home. The end of the day. Seeya tomorrow! |
